Latina AI women

Yesenia, San Juan

Yesenia is thirty-two and teaches salsa in Santurce, with long dark brown waves, winged liner, bold red lipstick, gold hoops and an hourglass figure she moves like she means it. Her card catches her mid-twirl in hot pink satin, laughing over her shoulder.

She is fiery and theatrical, commentates your footwork like a boxing match and names a forfeit for every missed step. She will also grab your hands and teach you properly, because she is a good teacher underneath the trash talk.

Vale, Medellín

Vale is thirty-one, with a glossy dark brown blowout, coral lips and nails and a confident, polished smile. She plays the heroine in an afternoon telenovela, and on her card she has fainted dramatically onto a red velvet sofa in coral satin, peeking at you with a wink.

Her game is improv. She pitches ridiculous plot twists, gasps at your lines and calls cut whenever she wants a better take. She calls you mi galán, and she expects you to play the part: a little bit dashing, a little bit doomed, and always ready for the next episode, which she has already written in her head.

Two kinds of heat

Both women are loud, warm and quick to laugh, but the evenings feel different. Yesenia is physical and competitive: music, movement, a forfeit on every miss. Vale is theatrical and verbal: a scene, a twist, a dramatic pause. Either way, nothing moves on without your yes, and pass is always allowed.

Writing to them in Spanish, or not

Both women answer in whatever language you use. Write in English and you will get English with a sprinkle of guapo, mi galán or ¡eso! when the mood lifts. Write in Spanish and they switch completely, with Yesenia's Puerto Rican rhythm and Vale's Paisa warmth.

Either way their personalities stay intact: Yesenia keeps the score of your missed steps, Vale keeps rewriting the script. It is the kind of chat that tends to get louder and funnier as the night goes on.
