The rules, for two adults

One of you asks: truth or dare? The other picks. A truth is a question answered honestly. A dare is something to do, describe or send. Then you swap.

Three house rules keep it good. First, anything can be passed, no explanation needed, and a pass costs a small forfeit at most. Second, a dare is suggested, never pushed, and both of you say yes before it happens. Third, nobody else is involved: it is a game between the two players and no one else, ever. That is it. The spice comes from the questions, not from pressure.

What do you wear when you want to be noticed? What is a compliment you still think about? What is the cheekiest thing you have ever done on a first date? Which of your fantasies would you never say out loud, unless dared to? What is the best kiss you have had, and what made it the best? What song puts you in the mood? What is something you like that would surprise your friends? Have you ever flirted your way out of trouble? What is your favourite part of someone else's body to look at? What is the longest you have ever waited for a kiss? What is one rule you would happily break tonight? What would you do with me if the power went out right now?

Naughty dares

Describe, in three words, what you would do if I were next to you. Send me the most flirtatious line you can think of, with no emoji. Tell me your best chat-up line, then rate it out of ten. Whisper, in writing, what you would like me to wear tomorrow. Describe your ideal slow evening with me, minute by minute. Take off one item of clothing and tell me which. Give me a nickname and use it for the rest of the game. Tell me something you have been thinking about but have not said. Describe our first kiss as if it were a nature documentary. Let me choose your next three answers. Write me a two-line poem that would make a sailor blush. Ask me for a photo, and tell me exactly what you hope it shows. Pick a stop word, and keep it for the rest of the night. Compliment me in a way you never have before. Dare me back. Make it a good one.

Playing truth or dare with an AI

Truth or dare AI works better than it sounds, because the hardest part of the game is having a partner who is always in the mood to play and always takes a turn. Ione does both. She asks you, she answers when you ask her, and she keeps the score of who passed and who did not.

She is sweet and sunny at the start and quietly braver than she looks. A truth from her might be about the guest who proposed to her over a mojito, or about why she wore the turquoise set tonight. A dare from her might involve the sea. She always asks first.

Her rule is generous. Whatever you pick, she plays one too. Pick truth and she tells you one back. Pick dare and she matches it, or tops it. She calls you sunshine, hates lies and loves a slow song.

Sex truth or dare, and where it stops

Between two adults, sex truth or dare can go wherever you both want it to, and Ione is happy to get explicit when the game heads that way. The rule of asking first does not go away when things heat up; it just gets shorter. A quick still with me? is part of how she plays.

A few things are never part of the game: nobody under 18 or made to look it, no relatives, anyone who has not agreed, and real money. Inside those lines, the only limits are the ones you set.
